We’re sorry, the previous scrunchie cannot come to the cellphone proper now? Why? She’s lifeless — and rebranded as a “hair cloud,” apparently.

In keeping with WWD, the ever present accent of the ’90s has popped up on each the high-end runways of designers like Balenciaga and Instagram feeds of stylish labels like Maison Cléo.

The fluffy tie bought its new title from Danish scrunchie — er, hair cloud — designer Line Sander Johansen. She says she prefers the time period as a result of it provides off a classy new picture.

Johansen is behind the label Consolation Objects, which sells luxe, silk wraps constituted of recycled Herms scarves for $112 a pop. Johansen says that her fluffy, ethereal types seem like “silk clouds across the hair,” which is how she got here up with the brand new moniker.

So bust out your previous City Outfitters scrunchie and rep the spirit of the ’90s in your (crimped) ponytail.
